On my lg cx i found the better way is set on hgig mode set until the sun is invisible plus just one more click on ps 5 on series x set on 900 nits i tried much more ways but for that was best hdr experience thansk all thanks marcus

Please can someone help, I have a panasonic gx800 tv but when doing tye hdr set up on xbox series x it takes me to 10,000 nits to get all the block to the same brightness ?? Is that normal for an led lcd tv ? On paper it says max peak brightness was measured at around 550 nits ? I'm soo confused

HDR content is actually mastered in BT 2020.

On my TV leaving the game mode setting on Auto always works.

A middle option would be ideal. Between vivid and standard, I prefer vivid for most games. Standard is far too "dead" when it comes to reds, but then I think vivid makes greens far too bright and yellowish. It depends on the game, to be honest. A darker, more realistic game will obviously look WRONG on vivid, but a colorful platformer will look gorgeous on vivid and far too muted on standard. Oh gawd, I wish there was a manual calibration option, but Nintendo would never go for that.

Sorry but Ill take the PS5 loading over the VVR on Xbox. You know how many times you die in this game and have to swallow 3X the loading?

But how the black floor analysis looks so good for your PC version? On my PC (4080 super GPU and i9 13900K CPU) HDR in AW2 looks washed out and it does have elevated blacks, i had to install Reshade and use Liliums HDR analysis tool plus Prod80 Curved Levels to tweak black point and then to bring up a bit the mid tones. My PC is set to RGB Full, 10 bit, HDR, im on the latest update, ray tracing reconstruction on, DLLS Quality, everything on the highest setting.

HDR seems to do something to the contrast in this game. The nights are far too bright with HDR turned on. Even the mini map turns this weird pale color with hdr.

turn off game mode and set judder to 10, s95c looks just like lg and with almost no input lag but it does have very noticable stutter and screen tearing at times

Dude, there’s a HUGE difference when I toggle between regular HDR and HDR10+Gaming in Cyberpunk on my G9 OLED. I don’t know why you’re not seeing one…

Was this before or after they added support for Samsung's HDR10+ Gaming? I am playing on a G9 OLED on PC and with that mode enabled, the game looks fantastic. I didn't have to adjust any settings at all.

Hi, I have recently upgraded my monitor and I now see banding/bad gradient everywhere (also in other games). When I looked at the old monitor, it was also there, but I was not noticing until now. Looking at around 4:45 , I see it is quite noticeable also in your footage. What do you thing about it? I think it breaks the immersion (well, the immersion into menu is probably not that important, but...). Shouldnt the 10bit colors smoothen the gradient? Or is it really what the devs wanted it to be?

Even without HDR this game looks washed out because the designers think there should be fog everywhere in this game. Totally stupid.

I assume if you are using PC monitors there is not GIG or dynamic tone mapping settings. im confused regarding my HDR monitor as it has 4 mods (HDR PIc, HDR Movie, HDR game and the default is HDR display) monitor model is AOC agon pro AG274QZM.

2:30 well maybe your TV is not perfect either and its crushing blacks, have you tested SDR/HDR shadow level with some patterns to see if its crushing something or not? In my opinion knowimg how your TV handles near black its a must, i mean why blame a game when its possible that is the TV?

Would you please add RTX HDR comparisons to your videos as well? I'd love to know whether RTX HDR could work better than HDR10 and HGiG in games you test. You even liked RTX HDR more than native HDR in Cyberpunk! So it's another reason to add RTX HDR to your vids.
